    Position Prerequisites
    Bachelors degree OR CDA OR Montessori Credential OR 60 college credit hours with 18 hours in Early Childhood Education.
    First Aid/CPR trained and current
    Experience caring for children 3 months to 8 years old
    Experience planning curriculum for children 3 months to 8 years old
    Experience working with the public
    Supervisory experience preferred
    Knowledge of basic computer skills

    Job Title: Desk Attendant/Lifeguard

    Job Description: To ensure pool safety for guests and members. Check in members and guests upon entering the health club. Monitor facility use. Dispense locker keys and towels.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Possess current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
    • Possess current certification in American Red Cross Community or Professional C.P.R
    • Possess current certification in American Red Cross Standard First Aid

    Job Description: Provide quality products, excellent service and a friendly atmosphere for all customers. Clean and reset tables.  Check linen.
    Fill and replenish water, rolls and butter.Server or busser to remove dishes when customer is finished with each course. Deliver dirty table settings to dishwashing area. Rack all dirty glasses in designated dishwashing area.
    Oversee cleanliness of restaurant.

Assist Membership department with event organization and promotion as well as recreation related tasks in a professional meanner.  Maintain the integrity of the position by upholding Grand Traverse Resort and Spa policies and procedures.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation or Club industry, Marketing, Physical Education or related field or a minimum of three years in a related field with management experience preferred
    • Certified Lifeguard or willingness obtain certificate within 3 months
    • Ability to be flexible and work evenings, weekends, and holidays (primarily PM hours)

    Job Title: Starter

    Job Summary: Maintain an order of play on the number one tee. Educate golfers about the golf course they are about to play. Educate golfers on how to help with the pace of play and what our staff is doing to help with this effort. Pair golfers with other golfers in order to keep all groups as threesomes or foursomes in order to maintain a comfortable pace of play and to get the maximum number of people on the course. Make sure that all golfers have properly checked into the proshop and that the appropriate fees were charges the golfer before he plays.

    • Ability to diplomatically communicate with guests and members
    • Professional and prompt service required
    • Should be good with names and willing to introduce strangers to one another
